  3.    There  are  several  pages  of help
  4. information.  Use  the  NEXT  and PREV
  5. buttons  at  the  bottom  of this help
  6. window  to move back and forth between
  7. it's  pages.  Use  the  EXIT button to
  8. return to the magazine.
  9.  
  10.    Note  that these Help pages are for
  11. use  with  Amy PD and Shareware Review
  12. and  are a slighty modified version of
  13. the  normal  Magnetic Pages help file.
  14. Other magazines produced with Magnetic
  15. Pages   may   operate  in  a  slightly
  16. different way.  CDR - CyberCraft.
  17.  
  18. Terminology
  19. Page...  There  are two distinct types
  20. - the Text Page and the Graphics Page.
  21. A Text Page can contain text, graphics
  22. and  buttons while a Graphics Page has
  23. just  a  picture.  The buttons let you
  24. move  to  other  pages  and  articles,
  25. and perhaps start music or animations.
  26.  
  27. Contents  Page...  The  second page in
  28. Amy  PD  Review  which  allows  you to
  29. branch  to it's different sections and
  30. articles.
  31.  
  32. Article...  A  group  of  one  or more
  33. pages loaded from disk together.
  34.  
  35. Moving Around the Magazine
  36.    You  can  move  around the magazine
  37. by   using   the   menu  options,  the
  38. keyboard   or   by   clicking  on  the
  39. buttons  on the right side of the menu
  40. bar.  Note  that  on  a  Graphics Page
  41. there  are  no menu bar buttons so you
  42. must use the menus or the keyboard.

  74. Index Buttons
  75.    In  the bottom right-hand corner of
  76. each  text  page of Amy PD Review is a
  77. button  that looks like a jagged arrow
  78. which when clicked on will take you to
  79. the index of the magazine.  This is so
  80. you  may move quickly from one article
  81. to another without needing to go first
  82. to the (rather slow) Contents page.

  84. Printing
  85.    There   are  two   printing   modes
  86. available.
  87.  
  88. Text  Only...  This   allows   you  to
  89. print  just the text from a page.  All
  90. graphics will be ignored.
  91.  
  92. Graphics  Dump...  This will print the
  93. whole  page  including  all  text  and
  94. graphics.
  95.  
  96.    When  printing  in 'Text Only' mode
  97. two pages of the magazine will usually
  98. fit  on  a  single  sheet  of   paper.
  99. However on some printers this won't be
  100. possible.  The  '2 Pages/Single Sheet'
  101. option  gives  you   the   choice   of
  102. printing  one  or two pages per single
  103. sheet of paper.
  104.    Note  that  when you are printing a
  105. whole  article  or the entire magazine
  106. printing  will  always  begin with the
  107. page you are currently on.  This means
  108. that  if  you  have  to abort printing
  109. part  way  through you can resume from
  110. where you left off.
  111.  
  112. Saving Text
  113.    You  can  save the text from a page
  114. or  article  as a standard ASCII file.
  115. You  can  then  load  this file into a
  116. Text Editor or Word Processor.
  117.  
  118. Saving Graphics
  119.    You  can  save  a  page  as  an IFF
  120. picture.  You  can  then   load   this
  121. picture  into  a paint program such as
  122. Deluxe Paint.
  123.  
  124. Text Search
  125.    This  command  allows you to search
  126. the  magazine for a particular word or
  127. sentence.   You  can  choose to search
  128. the   current  page,  article  or  the
  129. entire magazine.  The 'Case Sensitive'
  130. option   allows   you  to  distinguish
  131. between  upper  and lowercase charact-
  132. ers.  Note  that the Section option is
  133. not  really  relevant to Amy PD Review
  134. due  to  the way the magazine has been
  135. structured.
  136.  
  137. Sleep
  138.    Allows   you  to  free  almost  all
  139. memory  used by the magazine.  A small
  140. window  will  be  displayed in the top
  141. right   corner   of   the    Workbench
  142. screen.  To  return  to  the  magazine
  143. click  in  this  window  once with the
  144. left  mouse  button and then once with
  145. the right button.
